Labor and Birth

Your labor and birth will be attended by a Florida Licensed Midwife as well as 1-2 assistants. Often, at least one of my assistants is another trained midwife. Throughout your labor, you and baby will be monitored thoroughly per Florida law. Following the birth, the team will stay anywhere from 2-6 hours to ensure a smooth recovery and transition for both mother and baby. During this time, a complete newborn exam will be performed, as well as standard medications administered, if you have opted for them.
